I love the art style. Unfortunately, I was not able to play with my friends, but I spend some time playing around by myself. There are a few things I would fix:

  • I don’t know if it is the player’s colliders or the other objects in the world that are too big, and it looks weird that the player never actually touches walls or other obstacles.
  • Room doors seem a little too small to me, I would make them a little bigger to make it easier for the player to get into rooms if he’s in a rush fighting with someone.
  • There is no menu while in a match, so I had to quit with alt+f4. I would add a menu when pressing escape or something to let the player close the game in a better way whenever hi wants.

Beside these technical aspects, it seems a cool game to try with friends. :)

Thank you for your well putout feedback!

May I ask if there was a problem with the game not being able to connect to others or just other general reasons?

Yes the player's colliders are a bit bigger than the visuals that's because it makes it easier to hit players but that would be a simple fix.

Room doors are exactly the player collider size so by fixing the player collider this would be fixed too.

In terms of UI issues, I was experimenting with a new UI tool (Unity UI Toolkit) but it was too complicated for my purpose and I only had 14 days to make the game so had to ditch lots of UI stuff. I am however making my own UI tooling to use in my future games & to remake the UI in this game as well.

On no, I said I was not able to play with friends, but that is just because I was not able to gather them to play when I tested the game.

Oh, well I wish you the best!
